With tapering blade with short ricasso and a central fuller on each face, the gilt-brass hilt (bent) of characteristic form comprising guard of slender bars and strips framing plain panels, with fore-guards and short flat rear quillon, fluted flattened-conical pommel with button, and wooden rayskin-covered wire-bound grip (blade rust-stained, gilding mostly worn off)
