A PART OF A PIKEMAN'S CORSLET
In the style of the early 17th Century
Comprising a very heavy breast-plate of late peasecod form with narrow turns at the neck and armholes and flanged lower edge with rectangular iron loops carrying tassets of six plates each, and a two-piece pot en suite with low comb with iron plume-tube riveted at the rear, and flat slightly down-sloped brim with turned edge, both the brim and the bottom of the skull encircled by domed lining-rivets, heavily rust-patinated throughout (2)
