With belled brass barrel in three stages with a moulding at the muzzle and octagonal breech section, spring bayonet, iron tang (defective), signed flat bevelled lock with roller and stepped tail (safety-catch and cock retaining screw defective), artificially figured walnut three-quarter stock (wormed, a working replacement), brass mounts including trigger-guard with acorn finial, and brass-tipped ramrod with worm (iron parts pitted), the butt-plate and barrel with Co. Londonderry registration number, Birmingham proof marks
