With octagonal take-down barrel numbered 6896 (fore-sight missing), the top-strap engraved 'Deane & Son London Bridge', serial numbered cylinder, frame and trigger-guard retaining traces of original blued finish, safety-stop, and chequered walnut butt (scattered surface rust); in lined and fitted oak case, probably original, with accessories including Hawksley flask, and brass bullet mould, the lid with Deane and Son trade label, London proof marks
