A VERY FINE CASED .44 COLT THIRD MODEL DRAGOON PERCUSSION REVOLVER
No. 15889 for 1856
With blued barrel with New York address, blued cylinder with 'U.S.M.R.' marking and roll-engraved Texas Ranger and Indian scene, case-hardened frame, brass trigger-guard and grip-strap, oil-stained walnut grips, matching numbers, and nearly all its original finish (action defective, small patches of surface rust, some light pitting on the left side of the frame, minor bruising on shoulder of cylinder, minor scratches): in fitted oak case lined in green baize with brass mould, embossed flask (Riling no. 828) retaining its original lacquered finish, and tin of Eley caps, the lid (cracked) with shaped brass escutcheon
