The gorge case engraved with flowers and leaves against a stippled ground, the white enamel Roman dial signed HENRI JACOT PARIS, blued steel moon hands, with alarm ring below, the twin barrel movement with gilt platform to the lever escapement with bimetallic balance, strike/repeat/alarm on bell via two hammers to the back plate numbered 991, with repeat number to underside of case
4 3/8in. (11.2cm.) high to hilt of handle

Please note this lot should be described as having half hour sonnerie. These clocks strike full grande sonnerie in passing but only at the half and full hours (not the quarters). When it repeats this clock strikes hours and quarters for each quarter. The catalogue description should say that it has two nested bells struck by two hammers (with a further hammer for the alarm).
