The substantial pillars case with ripple cornices and mounted with Limoges style enamel side panels, each depicting Cupid on a dark crimson ground, playing the harp on one side and dancing on the other, the conforming dial with bellflower and scroll spandrels and gilt-bordered Roman chapter ring, silvered hands, with alarm ring below, the twin barrel movement with giant silvered platform to lever escapement with bimetallic balance, with grande sonnerie and alarm on two gongs via three hammers to the back plate numbered 19340, with repeat numbers and three-position sonnerie adjustment lever to the underside of the case
