19th Century
the black leaf design lacquer mounted to each side with a gilt metal model of deer -- 2 7/8in. (7.3cm.) high; and a gilt lacquer circular box and cover, decorated with various animal roundels, the interiors carved with mythical figures -- 3 3/8in. (8.6cm.) diam., (split to box).
