Lot Essay

A closely similar dresser was sold in these Rooms as part of The Principal Contents of Grimshaw Hall, Christie's, 8 March 2000, lot 34. The distinctive ogee-shaped friezes between turned legs and with a pot board are characteristic features of this distinguished group of Mid-Wales dressers.
