Lot Essay

This work is sold with a photo-certificate from the the Comité Marc Chagall. Louis Trotabase was the chancellor of the University of Law in Nice and a close friend of the artist. In the 1970s, at Trotabase's request, Chagall undertook a ceramics project for the University.
