The case with silk-backed sound frets to the sides, on associated plinth and with later musical mount to the front, white enamel Roman dial signed Bardel/A PARIS (possibly replaced), ormolu hands, the eight day twin barrel movement now with anchor escapement and later suspension, calibrated countwheel strike on bell, possibly formerly with strike/silent lever by 45, the back plate with repeat signature -- 15in. (38cm.) high
