An unusual French Art Deco grey marble, onyx and gilt-brass mounted striking mantel clock and garniture, circa 1925
In the form of a motor car, the gilt dial painted with stylised Arabic chapters and signed BÉJEAUD/CHATEAUROUX, with blued steel hands, the eight day twin barrel movement with countwheel strike on bell -- 18in. (46cm.) wide; and the ornamental side vases, the mounts cast in relief with St Christopher, patron saint of travellers -- 7 1/8in. (18cm.) high (3)
