The case with detachable pediment and applied foliate mouldings, with pressed and silvered brass bezel to a white enamel Roman dial, subsidiary seconds ring, blued steel moon hands, the single train weight-driven movement with deadbeat escapement, arched tapering plates, back plate stamped 28172, the wood rod pendulum suspended from a bracket on the backboard -- 69in. (175.5cm.) high
