The centre of the florally engraved dial signed John Drew/Londini fecit, replaced alarm-setting disc, original hand, with original straps and finial to later bell, later doors, the movement with anchor escapement and countwheel strike, alarm-work re-instated and some restorations to movement -- 15in. (38cm.) high

Lot Essay

John Drew was apprenticed in 1676 to Joseph Knibb, Free of the Clockmakers' Company in 1684 and died in 1713.
