A William IV Scottish mahogany longcase clock, circa 1835
The case with unusual lyre-shaped trunk, hood with tracery arch top surmounted by turned finials, the bezel released by pulling a brass bar, with scallop moulding above the short bowed and flame-veneered trunk door, the plinth with panel moulding and raised on bracket feet, the 13in. diameter painted Roman dial with subsidiary seconds and date rings, signed C. Shedden Perth, brass hands, pinned directly to the eight day movement with four pillars, anchor escapement and rack srike on bell -- 86½in. (220cm.) high
