A George III oak 30-hour longcase clock, circa 1785
The stepped top hood with outset brass-capped fluted columns, lacking glass, the door with moulded frame and lenticle glass, on stepped plinth, the 11in. square engraved brass dial with arched date aperture and signed WESTON LEWES, later hands, the posted frame movement with anchor escapement and countwheel strike on bell; possibly associated -- 76½in. (194cm.) high
