The hood with brass ball and eagle finials to the cresting, brass stop-fluted columns, conforming half columns to the trunk, the plinth with moulded panel and raised on stepped base, the 12in. silvered and engraved Roman and Arabic dial with subsidiary seconds ring and square date aperture, signed William Rich/LONDON, with strike/silent ring in the arch, the eight day movement with four pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike on bell -- 85½in. (217cm.) high
