A GOLD AND ENAMEL LEVER POCKET WATCH
circa 1850.
gilt bar movement with early lever escapement and jewelled pallets, steel balance with poising screws and temperature curb, jewelled to the third, white enamel dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and blued steel moon hands, the back and front of the case with painted enamel placques depicting women in garden scenes with engraved and enamelled surrounds, diameter 45mm.
