A double sided fan, probably painted by Lucf, the paper leaf with gauze insertions painted with a young gentleman climbing over a wall to meet his lover on the left and the two united on the right, the cartouches bordered with mother of pearl, further painted panels and insertions as well as three open sections revealing decorative ribs, the sticks of mother of pearl - in glazed, fan-shaped case, 20½in. (52cm) at base, circa 1890
