A magnificent fan, the leaf painted in bodycolour with a group of warriors on the right being offered bread, grapes and wine by a richly dressed woman and her attendants, the verso with Diana and attendants, the sticks of ivory, the guardsticks composed of tortoiseshell and mother of pearl - 11½in. (28.5cm), early 18th century, damages to leaf; and a horn brise fan applied with sequins - circa 1820
