An articulated fan, the silk leaf painted with a girl presenting gifts to Cupid standing on the altar of love surrounded by flowers worked in chainstitch, the sticks of carved, pierced and gilt ivory, the guardsticks set with articulated vignettes, one of a boy moving a mask to his face, the other with a girl taking a bird out of a cage - 11in. (28cm), French, 1775-1785, very damaged
