A checked shawl of fine ivory wool, woven with narrow stripes of chestnut brown, two edges with knotted wool fringes--126 x 67in. (320 x 170cm.), probably British, 19th century, small repair; a long block printed shawl of fine black wool, the borders of scarlet and maroon printed with a variety of flowers and cones--126 x 71in. (320 x 180cm.); and a square shawl of fine wool, printed with elongated palm-tipped cones and arabesques around a residual stellar field--71in. (180cm.) square, possibly French, 19th century, slight repairs
