A large sampler by Hannah Brown, dated 1832, worked in coloured silks with a large central urn of roses surrounded by a peacock, birds, angels and flowers within a floral border, three corners worked with pious verses--31½ x 27in. (80 x 68.5cm.), framed and glazed, some reworking and some colours enhanced at a later date
