Meiji period (late 19th century), with red seal Fukuoka,
carved in low-relief with a group of monkeys fighting over a bunch of grapes, the animal's eyes stained dark and the fur rendered with fine incised lines, the cover with the finial carved as a seated monkey fighting over a branch of persimmon with two other monkeys in low-relief; rim with a cloud band
