An Earthenware Censer
Meiji period (late 19th century),
set on tripod feet and designed in polychrome enamels and gilt over a clear crackled glaze with chrysanthemum heads around the shoulder and incised below with a narrow band of keyfrets, the body on one side painted with a stand of flowers, the pierced cover molded to resemble a basket weave pattern
4in. (10.2cm.) diameter
