Meiji-Taisho period (19th-20th century), with gilt signature Satsuma Genzan and with gilt Shimazu family crest, and with impressed seal on the underside Satsuma Gyokumeizan,
modelled as the god Hotei holding a sacred jewel in his right hand and decorated in polychrome enamels and gilt over a clear crackled glaze, his robe painted with floral roundels and accoutrements of the Seven Gods of Good Fortune
