the circular convex plate with ebonized reeded inner slip and leaf-tipped outer slip with trellis-carved frame and applied spherules, surmounted by an eagle with outstretched wings on rockwork flanked by acanthus clasps, the sides with two scrolled arms terminating in scalloped cut-glass drip pans and cylindrical nozzles, lacking original base carving, regilt, the arms repositioned and possibly replaced, lacking three drip-pans
