A Half Model Of The J-Class Yacht ASTRA
Tubbs, B.R. (British, 20th century), ca. 1996
A solid hull model built up from the solid in four lifts. The topsides are carved in tulip wood and the bottom is carved from black walnut. The waterline and cove stripe are inlaid ebony. The model is mounted on an ebonized backboard with a brass name plaque.
