A Gaff Rigged British Pond Model
Anonymous; British, 20th century
A fine pond model with a built up mahogany hull, lead keel, brass rudder. The deck of the model is from maple veneer. The model is fitted with brass fittings which include: bow sprit sleeve, jib traveler, mast partners, deck plate coaming, square deck plate, toe rail, tiller, quadrant, mainsheet traveler. The model is rigged with mast, topmast, boom, club booms, gaff, spreaders, mast cap, etc. She is fitted with four sails which include: mainsail, jib, staysail and topsail. The model is displayed on a mahogany stand.
