Lot Essay

The present lot shows a beloved subject of Lucie van Dam van Isselt: quail's eggs. The sculpture under the glass dome is by Johan Coenraad Altorf (1876-1955). Lucie van Dam Van Isselt owned this sculpture and lovingly called it De Urf.
