A PAIR OF FRENCH BRONZE FIGURAL LAMP STANDARDS
Late 19th century, cast after the model by Charles-Georges Ferville-Suan
In the form of a young man and a young maiden each in late mediaeval dress holding up a foliate cast torch with a frosted glass flambeau shade, on moulded plinth and raised on later pedestals, signed to the plinth
The bronzes 110 cm (43 1/4 in.) high; the pedestals 77 cm (30 1/2 in.) high
