Lot Essay

Born in Tricesimo, Italy in the mid 19th century, Madrassi studied in Italy and Paris and was a pupil of Cavelier. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais from 1881 to 1896 and at the Nationale from 1896, specialising in busts, allegorical groups and statuettes.
