A PAIR OF REGENCY MAHOGANY SIDE TABLES
Early 19th century
Each with rectangular top above a frieze drawer to one side and a simulated drawer to the other, with knob handles, on ring-turned tapering reeded legs and tapering feet, minor variations in construction
30¾ in. (78 cm.) high; 36 in. (91.5 cm.) wide; one 27 in. (68.5 cm.) deep, the other 26¾ in. (68 cm.) deep (2)

Possibly supplied to Charles Adderley (1780-1827) and by descent with the Barons Norton to
John, 7th Baron Norton (1915-1993), Fillongley Hall, Coventry, Warwickshire.

Lot Essay

Tables like these were often supplied in large quantities for one house which would account for the very minor variations in construction.
