The bowfront rectangular reeded top above three drawers flanked by reeded uprights, on reeded vase feet, the handles replaced

Lot Essay

The reed-enriched commode has Pompeian columnar corners with an elegantly bowed front and reflects the antique fashion promoted by Thomas Sheraton's, Cabinet-Maker, Upholsterer, and General Artist's Encyclopaedia, 1803.
