The table-top, displaying a beautiful golden tablet of marble-like amboyna, has reed-banded pillars supported on 'claws' that are Grecian-scrolled in the manner of a 'Lady's Work Table' pattern issued in Thomas Sheraton's, Cabinet-maker and Upholsterer's Drawing Book, 1793 4 (pl. 26).
