A REGENCY MAHOGANY SECRETAIRE BREAKFRONT-BOOKCASE
Early 19th Century
The rectangular reeded cavetto cornice above a plain frieze, with a pair of Gothic-arched glazed doors enclosing three reed-edge adjustable shelves, flanked by a conforming door on the right enclosing two adjustable shelves, the left side with a conforming glazed door and pedestal door enclosing five adjustable shelves (one later), the central lower section with a deep secretaire drawer with a flap enclosing a satinwood-veneered fitted interior of drawers and pigeon-holes, above a pair of panelled doors enclosing two slides, the right side with a deep drawer above a panelled door enclosing a shelf
