A JICHIMU ROUND-CORNER CABINET AND STAND, YUANJIAOGUI
18th/19th century
Of narrow, elegant proportions characteristic of Fujian manufacture, the rounded, protruding top set on slightly splayed, rounded corner posts enclosing the single, vividly-grained panels of the pair of tall doors with beaded and double-molded edges, and a three-part rectangular lockplate and pulls, opening from the removable center stile to reveal two shelves and two drawers with pierced cloud-shaped pulls, above a beaded apron with shaped spandrels sitting comfortably on the conforming stand, with corner legs continuing the splay of the corner posts of the cabinet, and enclosing two drawers above a humpback stretcher and two vertical struts
