A Thangka of Padmasambhava in the Glorious Copper Mountain Paradise
Tibet, circa 18th Century
The upper half depicting Padmasambhava enthroned at center within a palace setting atop the Copper Mountain emerging from the ocean, attended by his two wives, and surrounded by various monks, protecetive deities and dakinis swirling above; the lower half with yogins performing austerities in caves within the mountain and with rakshasa demons depicted below
