The form of this covered pot is reminiscent of that of the well-known enamelled covered gold pot in the Cleveland Museum of Art (M. Zebrowski, Gold, Silver and Bronze from Mughal India, Alexandria Press, London, 1997, no.29, p. 52). The engraved designs under the green enamel, especially those under the base, are also very close to those under the covers and under the base of the well-known enamelled gold covered octagonal boxes in the Khalili Collection and the Hermitage Museum (Zebrowski, op.cit, p.53).
