A South German gilt-engraved brass mounted cabinet
Two plates possibly 16th century, the construction 19th century
The hinged top, fall-front, back and sides with pierced floral and foliate mounts, the interior with nine drawers, the panelled fronts cast with game, the reverse of the lid and fall-front mounted with plates depicting allegoraical figures and inscribed ASTRILODICA AND LOICA on a spreading plinth base with bracket feet, minor losses to the veneers, some of the metalwork loose
