Yongzheng six-character mark in underglaze blue in a line and of the period (1723-1735)
The exterior incised with the Eight Buddhist Emblems (bajixiang) positioned above eight lotus sprays, all above a ruyi band at the top of the stem foot which is incised with three sprigs of lingzhi

An engraved white stem cup with similar knopped stem was included in the Exhibition of Ch'ing Porcelain from the Wah Kwong Collection, Hong Kong, 1973, Catalogue no. 51. The same carving also appears on a white Yongzheng stem cup with flared foot sold in these rooms 14 November, 1983, lot 154 and on Yongzheng yellow-glazed stem cups with knopped stems in the Percival David Foundation, Catalogue, section 6, no. A575, and the Baur Collection, Catalogue, vol. III, no. A450.
