TWO UNUSUAL GLAZED BISCUIT TABLE OBJECTS
Kangxi period (1662-1722)
One modelled as a chicken coop in two parts, the base modelled as a hen and her chicks glazed in white and aubergine on a circular, yellow-glazed straw mat bordered in pale green-glazed, bound grasses, the cover modelled as a loosely woven basket with circular opening on top and glazed an olive color; the other also a type of coop, but in one piece, modelled as a domed basket pierced with flower-head roundels and a small doorway on one side above the solid base, with a goose sitting in the interior, covered with a yellowish glaze, the goose's head in aubergine
