Nice ruby color, tawny rim. Nice fruit ripeness on the nose; hints of cherry. Sweet almost creamy stawberry fruit on the palate. Full, mature, dry; very slightly lean, but lots of character. A real suprise & went really well with lamb shank. Drink now. **** Mar 2002 DW
