Noted in a single blind Syrah tasting: I litterally hit an impenetrable wall of fruit! So massive is this wine that it power quotient exponentially overwhelmed the other wines present...which when unveiled included the likes of '98 Run Rig-Torbreck, '97 SQN-Imposter McCoy, '98 Jamet-Côte Rôtie, '96 Voge-Cornas VV, '94 Arrowood-Sara Lee, among others...The aromatics were uncommonly deep and pure, perhaps a bit pumped up by the alcohol. Super ripe and concentrated, like a new release vintage port--but dry. The finish was unfathomably long. A great show wine, not exactly food friendly. Back label states: 1200 bottles filled. ST
