Choson period (late 19th-early 20th century)
Each oblong and drilled in the center of the removable cap with a small hole for a suspension cord, three of the cases incised with flowers or birds and flowers and two additionally incised with poems in Chinese characters, three lacquered in black and one in dark brown; one case also wood applied with a thin sheet of shagreen covered by black lacquer
Longest 6 5/8in. (17cm.)
