An album containing original watercolours, handcoloured lithographs, photographs and autograph material [Lima c.1853]. Large 4° (348 x 265mm.), 187 leaves, 63 watercolours of Lima costumes (290 x 222mm. and smaller) each preceded by a leaf with descriptive manuscript caption, 4 watercolours of Peruvian landscapes and horses, 14 handcoloured lithographs of Lima costumes each preceded by a leaf with descriptive manuscript caption, 4 photographs Lima and two oval studio portrait photographs, various related manuscript items, and three sketches of local scenes by a European hand. Original half red calf, titled within a gilt stamped frame on upper cover 'Lima Costumes' (worn, crudely rebacked, inner hinges strengthened)
