Lot Essay
This is one of two large copper mirrors that could be attributed to Knox. Like his terracotta designs, this traditional form is skillfully punctuated in the corners by bold renditions of Knox's signature Celtic knotting. Its decorative riveting is the hallmark of the 'honest work' of an Arts and Crafts designer.
