A Turner's Patent ironstone serving-dish
Circa 1800, Turner's-Patent mark
Of oval form, printed with the 'Tree and Well' pattern with moulded centre leading to a recessed well, the border printed and painted with scrolling cartouches and gilt cell-pattern alternating between iron-red flowers and pagodas, with a brown-lined rim and the underside painted with four similar flowers (overpainting to central waterlily)
