Two Mason's Ironstone serving-dishes
Circa 1840, printed MASON'S PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA mark
Of shaped octagonal form, printed and painted with the 'Peacocks' pattern, one with a moulded centre leading to a small oval recessed well, both with stylised borders of foliage and flowers alternating between scrolling cartouches, the rim painted with blue-ground and gilt cell-pattern with a lustre-lined rim (slight rubbing to coloured enamels)
