Frank Hurley (1885-1962), and thence by descent to the present owner. A large collection of prints from Hurley's studio and his heirs, the majority from Camera Studies of Australia made in the years following his demobilisation after World War II until his death in 1962. A small group of glass negatives and copy negatives include his self portrait, taken at the time of his investiture with the Polar medal and bar, 1919, reproduced in D.P.
